Thunder Bay Community Foundation Set to Hand Out Over $91.000 in Scholarships and Bursaries

THUNDER BAY – On Wednesday, June 17, the Thunder Bay Community Foundation (TBCF) will be hosting a Scholarship & Bursary Reception at 5:00 p.m. at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery. A record high amount of over $91,000 will be given out in Scholarships and Bursaries. “We are overwhelmed with gratitude that our donors have been so generous and have allowed us to give out 11 awards to 27 youth”, said Bonnie Moore, Executive Director.

The students are from high schools throughout Thunder Bay, Marathon, Nipigon-Red Rock and Manitouwadge. “The awards are vitally important to support the next generation of professionals and skilled workers,” Said Lesley Bell, Chair of the Scholarship and Bursary Committee.

This reception is an opportunity for family, teachers, donors and alumni to celebrate the accomplishments of our incredible youth of Thunder Bay. The reception will start at 5:00 p.m. at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery with the award portion of the reception to follow at 5:45 p.m.
