TORONTO, ON – Anishinawbek- A new Ontario Regional Chief will be elected in a traditional ceremony at the 41st Annual All Ontario Chiefs Conference June 16-18 hosted by Anishinabe of Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation (Rat Portage) Treaty #3 Territory.

The theme of the 2014/2015 Annual Report and this year’s AOCC is ‘Strengthening our Relationships.’ Besides the election, the agenda includes updates on the Political Accord with Ontario, Clean Drinking Water regulations, Social Services, Justice and Environment Sector updates as well as youth and Elder reflections.

We are very pleased that you chose our community for your event and we have made a point of getting our whole community involved. Our elders, drummers, caterer, fire keepers and our youth will all play a role in hosting you,” said Chief Chris Skead, Wauzhushk Onigum Nation.
