THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – It might be the end of May, but Old Man Winter is reaching out to grab onto the region as a Frost Advisory is in effect for Thunder Bay and region.

Frost Advisory in effect for:

  • City of Thunder Bay
  • Fort Frances – Atikokan
  • Geraldton – Longlac – Caramat
  • Manitouwadge – Hornepayne
  • Nakina – Aroland – Pagwa
  • Nipigon – Red Rock
  • Sioux Lookout – Savant Lake

Light winds and relatively clear skies will allow ground temperatures to drop down to near or a few degrees below freezing overnight tonight and early Sunday morning.

Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Weather Advisories for Frost are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
