SIOUX LOOKOUT – ROAD CONSTRUCTION –  The Ministry of Transportation advises the motoring public that Highway 72 at the Pelican River Bridge in Sioux Lookout will be intermittently closed to traffic during the week of May 25, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (CT).  Traffic delays can be expected.

These temporary closures are required to ensure the safety of road users and workers while new bridge components are installed at the Pelican River Bridge.  The installation work is expected to be complete by end of day on Friday, May 29.

Traffic will be controlled by flagging operations.  We apologize for the inconvenience and urge motorists to schedule their travel to minimize any delays.

Motorists are reminded to obey and follow all traffic signage and flag persons for the safety of both workers and drivers.

For the latest information on highway closures, the public can call 511, MTO’s Road Information Line or check www.ontario.ca/511.
