Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – Winter is over. Motorcycles and bicycles are now hitting the roads in Thunder Bay. Taking extra care for drivers is key. Thunder Bay Police are reporting a collision between a four-door blue sedan and a cyclist at the intersection of Oliver Rd. and Balmoral St. today at about 1:00PM EDT that has sent the cyclist to hospital.

TBPS report that the cyclist sustained non- life- threatening injuries, but was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre by ambulance and was later released.

The cyclist was unable to see much of the vehicle and therefore the details are not well known, but it is believed the car was in the process of turning left from Balmoral St. onto Oliver Rd. . The cyclist was westbound on Oliver Rd. .

Police are asking the driver, or any witness to contact the Traffic Unit as soon as possible.
