Crime UpdateGREENSTONE, ON – The Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind community members to lock their vehicle and residence to ensure their belongings are not stolen. In the last week, OPP report there has been an increase in thefts, and break and enters, reported to police, particularly in the Longlac Ward area.

Police are actively investigating these incidents but hope the public will assist them by locking up their belongings, homes and vehicles.

Greenstone OPP also request that the public report incidents to police so that they can obtain an accurate picture of what is taking place in the community.

Everyone is reminded to contact police regarding any suspicious persons lurking near vehicles or residences and if you have any information with respect to property crimes in the Greenstone area, contact the OPP at 1-800-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
