THUNDER BAY – The start of the golf season is almost here in Thunder Bay. Whitewater Golf Club opens on Saturday May 2nd.

The Fort William Country club is set to go as well with a Saturday opening.

Strathcona and Chapples will open with summer greens on Friday May 1st with a $25 spring special.

The Thunder Bay Country Club is getting going today, with the first golfers teeing off at 10:00AM.

The big event of the season in Thunder Bay will be the Staal Foundation Open, which will be at Whitewater Golf Club in July.

The PGA TOUR Canada event is still looking for volunteers.
