THUNDER BAY – ENVIRONMENT – Shannon Costigan from EcoSuperior stopped by the NNL Newsroom to share the latest on the Twenty Minute Makeover which is underway in Thunder Bay to help make our city clean, green and beautiful.

On Friday, May 1st Thunder Bay will hold the the “Twenty Minute Makeover” to join in and clean up around your home or business.

If you visit www.ecosuperior.org and sign up for a the Spring Up to Clean Up event, you will receive the supplies that you need to clean up.

Do you think Thunder Bay needs a good spring cleaning?

Eco-Superior has opened registration for their annual Spring Cleaning effort across Thunder Bay. Registration is now open – you can access more info here.

Shannon shares, “We will contact you to confirm your registration, and let you know a date when your kit will be ready for pick-up. For more information please contact me at 624-2142, or shannon@ecosuperior.org.”

Each year, over 10, 000 registered volunteers help to clean up and beautify Thunder Bay by picking up litter from streets and parks during Spring Up to Clean Up in May.

You can join these volunteers and the many other unsung heroes in our community who are out there picking up trash while taking an evening stroll or going on an outing in the park. Register your group of litter crusaders in the Spring Up to Clean Up campaign and show us your community pride!

There are a lot of areas around Thunder Bay that need some attention. Sign up a group and help make Thunder Bay look as great as we all believe our city is for our home.
