THUNDER BAY – Driverseat is a new service operating in Thunder Bay. Driverseat owner/operator Lawrence Deswiage shared a little about the company at the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce March event at the Rockhouse in downtown Fort William.

Driverseat offer eight core services.  Designated driving, airport service, accompaniment, special events service, fleet service, valet service, medical transportation ,and chauffeur service.

  • Designated driving – Just like the name implies we will get people that have been drinking home as well as their vehicle.  The service is like Operation Red Nose, but is offered seven days a week, twelve months of the year.  When a customer contacts us we give them a quote, which will not change due to traffic or red lights.  The price is the price.  This is our most popular service.
  • Airport service – Our second most popular service is one of convenience and affordability.  Instead of bothering friends of family members people can use our service.  We will send a driver to your house at what ever time you require us to be there.  We will drive you to the airport in your vehicle and then return it to your house so it is safe and in your driveway or garage.  Exactly where it should be when you are out of town.  You don’t have to pay for long term parking at the airport and have the convenience of packing your vehicle before our driver gets there instead of waiting for a cab to show up.
  • Special events – This is our third most popular service.  People hosting parties, shags, weddings or corporate events book our driving teams for their event.  The host pays a flat rate and their guests enjoy the convenience of getting home safely with their vehicle.

“Our other services are small at the moment but there is great opportunity for growth,” states Deswiage. “Driverseat is a Canadian franchise.  My wife Trisha and I opened up Driverseat in November and it has been growing steadily since.  We owe the early success to our great team of drivers.”

“Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions at 627-3652,” added Deswiage.
