THUNDER BAY – CRIME – Thunder Bay Police Service report that TBPS patrol officers attended to the Shelter House just after 1:00AM on March 25, 2015 to assist a male who was being treated by paramedics for stab wounds.
The twenty-four-year old male victim had apparently been in an apartment building located at 130 South May Street when he was approached by a group of six to eight males in the hallway.
Police report that “The victim had some personal items stolen and was stabbed in the process. He was able to get out of the building and went to the Shelter House for assistance and was then taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for medical treatment”.
The investigation is ongoing.

Through the month of March, Thunder Bay Police have responded to incidents at Shelter House fifty-nine times. Some of those incidents are like this stabbing where the victim went to Shelter House for help.
Those calls have included thirty alcohol related calls, fifteen calls for Disorder, eleven assaults, one call for theft, and one weapons related offence.
