Thunder Bay Police Drug Unit Makes Arrests

Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Police Service Drug Unit with assistance of the Gang Unit executed a search warrant at an Oliver Road residence on the morning of March 3, 2015. The residence was vacant at the time of the search and officers located 8 grams of Cocaine, 109 grams of MDMA and 10 grams of Marihuana. Approximately two hours later officers arrested a 34 year old male returning to this residence. A search of the male incident to the arrest resulted in the seizure of $7,780.00 in Canadian currency, 14 grams of Cocaine, 30 grams of Crack Cocaine and 21 grams of Hash. The street value of the drugs is estimated at $25,000.

Randy Billy Bastien of Thunder Bay has been charged with:
– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x4
– Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000
– Breach of Probation

A second unrelated search warrant was executed by the TBPS Gang Unit with the assistance of the Drug Unit just before 4:30 p.m. yesterday at a north side motel room. Officers arrested the 26 year old male occupant of the room and located a small amount of cocaine and marihuana along with $14,730.00 in Canadian currency and $725.00 in American currency.

Daniel Junior Bourque of Saint Eustache, Quebec has been charged with:

– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

– Possession of Marihuana

– Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000

– Breach of Probation x4

– Breach of Undertaking

Both males appeared in court today and have been remanded to the district jail.
