In a statement, the company says, “Approximately 160 employees have been given notice on this closure with the last day of employment for the impacted employees being April 20 2015.
“This decision has no bearing on the performance, and the decision had to be made due to recent client decisions and the lease expiring.
“Teleperformance has been in the Thunder Bay community for close to 10 years, and we thank the community and our employees.
“The company will work closely with local resources to ensure the impacted employees will receive ongoing support during the transition period. We will have no further comment at this time.”
