THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police are investigating a collision which occurred on Simpson Street near Southern Avenue involving a Thunder Bay Police unit and a taxi.

The taxi did not have a fare at the time of the collision.

A section of Simpson Street between Northern and Alexandra was closed for a period of time but has re-opened for this morning.

The occupants of both vehicles attended Thunder Bay Regional where they were treated for minor injuries and released.

The Thunder Bay Police Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation.
