THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police made short work of their investigation into a pair of bank robberies in Thunder Bay on Tuesday.
Sharing details, Police report, “Forty-year-old, Trevor William Richmond appeared in court today after being arrested in conjunction with the two bank robberies yesterday afternoon. The first incident occurred just after 2:30 p.m. at the CIBC in Victoriaville Mall. The suspect produced a note to the teller and demanded money. The male left the back with some cash.
The second incident occurred just after 5:00PM at the TD Bank on Memorial Ave.
Police state that “The same male entered the bank and demanded money from the teller and stated he had a weapon. Again he left the building on foot with some cash.”
Plain clothed detectives observed a male matching the descriptors of the suspect at a bus stop in the Intercity Area. The male was placed under arrest at 5:20PM.
Trevor William Richmond has been charged with two counts of Robbery and two counts of Breach of Probation. Richmond has been remanded to the District Jail with a February 13, 2015 court date.
