Thunder Bay Police Seek Econolodge Robber and Bike Path Robber

Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police are looking for help from the public. Police are seeking information that may lead to identifying the suspect of a robbery that occurred at the Econo Lodge on February 6th, 2015.

Thunder Bay Police report, “At approximately 2:00AM a male with a knife entered the business, went behind the front desk and opened the cash register. The male ran from the building after taking some cash. The employee was not injured in this incident.

The male suspect is described as being 5’8” tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a three quarters length black coat, black pants and a black hat. He had his face covered.

Robbery Suspect Sought

Police are also looking for a suspect in a robbery that reportedly happened on the bike path between Windsor Street and Sequoia Street. Police report that a forty-three-year old woman was robbed on Friday night.

Police say the woman had been walking on the bike path between Windsor Street and Sequoia Street when a man came up behind her and grabbed her purse. The woman, thankfully was not physically injured in the incident.

The suspect, a male described as being six feet tall with a medium build, was wearding a black hoodie, jeans and white shoes. He ran from the area.
