THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay City crews are continuing to address a water main break on Simpson Street.

Crews have traced the location of the break to a spot just south of the Simpson Street bridge. Work is underway to excavate the pipe and make repairs, with water service expected to be restored by 9PM.

Simpson Street remains closed between Northern and Southern avenues due to the break.

City Administration also report, water has also been shut off on Cypress Drive due to a broken fire hydrant.

Repairs are underway, and water service should be restored by dinner time.
