THUNDER BAY – ARTS – Consortium Aurora Borealis presents as its season finale, “A Musical Bouquet: Music and Flowers”.
This programme of Renaissance and Baroque delights from the time of Shakespeare to the late 18th century features roses, violets, lilies, daisies, and many more. Florally-inspired music will be enhanced by paintings of flowers by local visual artist Linda Dell, and by silk flower arrangements.
The performers are Katie Stevens and Jennifer Bryan, violin, Robert Van Wyck, Baroque flute and recorder, Susan Korstanje, soprano, and Elizabeth Ganiatsos, harpsichord and recorder.
The concert takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. at St. Paul`s United Church, 349 Waverley Street, Thunder Bay, with an informative pre-concert talk by Lise Vaugeois at 7:30 p.m. The church is handicapped-accessible (elevator).
Admission: $15 adults, $10 seniors and students, at the door.
