TORONTO – POLITICS – Today, Ontario PC Leadership candidate Christine Elliott, MPP Whitby-Oshawa, welcomed an endorsement from Vic Fedeli, MPP, Nipissing. “Vic and I share the Progressive Conservative values that make our party great,” said Elliott. “Both of us understand that good economic policy enables good social policy. We share the firm belief that fiscal responsibility and social compassion can, and must, go hand in hand.”
“I am committed to do everything I can to help Christine Elliott become the next Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, to rebuild our Party, and to win a majority government in the next General Election in 2018,” said Fedeli. “Christine’s optimistic, positive vision will resonate with people from every region of our province.”
Fedeli said he was honoured to have the confidence of so many members and encouraged them to support Christine in her bid to lead the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario.
Elliott championed Fedeli’s strong record of holding Kathleen Wynne and Ontario’s Liberals accountable to the people of Ontario.
“Vic and I share the firm belief that Ontario prospers only when all of its regions succeed,” said Elliott. “Solutions to strengthen the north must come from the north. I particularly look forward to working closely with Vic as a strong champion for the issues that matter most to Northern Ontarians.”
Momentum for Elliott’s campaign continues to build. More Ontario MPPs and MPs are endorsing Christine than any other candidate. With Vic Fedeli’s endorsement, Elliott has well over 50 endorsements from MPPs, MPs, candidates of record, and Ontario PC Party executive members, and of course, former Premier Bill Davis
