THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Extreme Cold. That is the weather word for Sunday February 1 2015 for almost all of Northern Ontario. Thunder Bay, Fort Frances, Nipigon, Marathon along Lake Superior are the only regions that are not under weather alerts.

The rest of the region, and the Far North are under Extreme Cold Warnings.

Windchill will make the majority of the region feel like it is -40c or colder.

There is a plus to the cold weather. The weather is firming up the Winter Roads across Northern Ontario.

This weekend is the Neskantaga Winter Powwow 2015. People have been able to drive on the Winter Roads into the community for the event.
