Charges Laid by Thunder Bay Police in Chippewa Accident

THUNDER  BAY – Crime – Thunder Bay Police report that “A 14 year old male Thunder Bay resident was arrested this morning on charges for the serious injury collision that occurred on Chippewa Rd on November 23rd”.

The youth who can not be named under the Youth Offenders Legislation has been charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle – Cause Bodily Harm X3, Take Auto Without Consent and an HTA charge of Driving Without a License.

He was held for bail, and attended court this morning.

All the parties involved in this collision suffered injuries. Three of the parties’ suffered serious injuries and two of them required surgery. Some of the injuries are likely to have lifelong implications for the young men involved.
