OPP Ontario Provincial PoliceTHUNDER BAY – CRIME – The Ontario Provincial Police report that on January 8, 2015 at approximately 7:30AM (CST) officers with the Pickle Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a non-responsive male that had been located at a residence on Lakeview Crescent in Pickle Lake. Both police and ambulance attended the residence.  The male was subsequently pronounced deceased.

The deceased has been identified as 50-year old  David Muckuck of Pickle Lake. A post mortem examination is scheduled to take place in Thunder Bay on January 9, 2015.

Police have charged 30-year old Deborah Muckuck of Pickle Lake with Aggravated Assault in relation to the incident.

The Pickle Lake OPP and the OPP North West Region Crime Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector Peter LOREE of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death and further details will be provided as they become available.
