THUNDER BAY – SPORTS – NDC Thunder Bay was on top of their game in Silverstar, BC racing at the Haywood NorAm races.  Alannah MacLean was on the podium in 5th place after a racing through to the finals in a 1.2 km classic sprint race.

First year Junior Man Julian Smith finished in 5th place in his 1.4 km classic sprint.

The Open Men category was swamped with Thunder Bay skiers with Bob Thompson claiming a silver medla, Andy Sheilds in fourth and Scott Hill in sixth.

The team will now return to Ontario to spend Christmas in their home towns and prepare for the Haywood World Junior/U23 Trials held at Highlands Nordic Centre in Collingwood, ON.

Unfortunatley Jenn Jackson will not be joining the team as she suffered a broken fibula at the last race weekend.  Jackson is hoping to return to the race season late January.
