Winter Storm Shifting to Wet Weather for Ontario

THUNDER BAY – The Christmas storm is shifting from heavy snow to rain, and possibly freezing rain for a large part of Ontario. For Thunder Bay snowfall amounts have dropped a great deal from the first predictions.

The mass of the predicted storm will likely slide east of the city.

The forecast for Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario has changed over the past week. From a high of up to 40cm of snow, now the snowfall totals are far less. However the potential for rain and freezing rain in Southern Ontario could impact both highway and air travel.
