THUNDER BAY – There is lots of efforts going on to make a difference in the lives of those in our city who are less well off than many.

This year’s Thunder Bay Transit food drive raised 6500 pounds of food in support of the Thunder Bay Food Bank. (4000lbs more than last year). Thunder Bay Transit & ATU Local 966 would like to thank River St. Metro, Armstrong the Mover, Transit & Fleet Services employee volunteers & their families, and the hard work of the volunteers at the Thunder Bay Food Bank.

On Saturday, December 13th, Keep the Magic Going

Members from the various police services in Thunder Bay will be at local grocery stores collecting donations for the Regional Food Distribution Association on Saturday. Anyone who would like to make a donation of food or money is encouraged to help us make life a little easier for some people in our community.

Simply go to the cruisers outside the locations listed below between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm on Saturday and make your donation with the police or civilian volunteers.

Come on Thunder Bay let’s make difference in our community together. The generosity of the citizens of Thunder Bay always shines through.

Locations are the Superstore, Walmart on Memorial Avenue and both Metro locations on River Street and Arthur Street.
