Weather AlertTHUNDER BAY – Road conditions are icy in and around Thunder Bay. The Lakehead and Lakehead Catholic School Board has announced that all rural transportation today is cancelled.

 

Due to extremely poor road and weather conditions ALL RURAL TRANSPORTATION has been CANCELLED for today.

Rural Transportation Cancelled for the Following Routes

Please Note:

  • Routes that are cancelled in the morning are also cancelled in the afternoon

The following Lakehead Public Schools are Closed

  • Crestview
  • Five Mile
  • Gorham Ware
  • Kakabeka Falls
  • McKenzie
  • Nor’wester View
  • Whitefish Valley
  • Valley Central

*** Busing for all Lakehead Public School Secondary Students from these

areas is cancelled as well***

All other schools are open and students are expected to attend

The following rural portions of urban routes are cancelled

Westmount

  • South 22 – All of the Route
  • South 23 – South of Kam River
  • South 24 – Rural portion (west of Hwy 61)

Claude Garton

  • North 22 – All of the Route (Note: P.M. stops South of Hwy 11/17 will be taken by North 19
  • North 87 – All of the 7 & 8’s from the McKenzie area
  • North 77 St. Paul – Yellow (Strathcona stops will be picked up and dropped off by North 19)

Agnew (French Immersion

  • South 10 – All of the Route
  • South 25 – All of the Route (not Spec. Ed.)
  • South 22 – P.M. only

Woodcrest

  • North 13 – Rural portion (north of Wardrope Ave)

Ecole Gron Morgan

  • North 3 – Rural Portion (north of Wardrope Ave)
  • North 4 – Rural Portion (west of Belrose Rd)
  • North 6 – Rural Portion (P.M. – north of Wardrope Ave)
