WINNIPEG – BUSINESS – The North West Company Inc. (“North West”) (TSX:NWC) has announced the appointment of Annalisa King and Stewart Glendinning to the Board of Directors of North West.
Ms. King is the current Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Best Buy Canada Ltd. Prior to joining Best Buy Canada Ltd. in 2008, Ms. King was the Senior Vice President of Business Transformation for Maple Leaf Foods. She has also held senior positions, primarily in finance, throughout her career at consumer packaged goods companies, Kraft and Pillsbury Canada.
She attended York University where she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance), and is a graduate of Rotman Directors Education Program (ICD). Ms. King is a three-time recipient of The Women’s Executive Network’s Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 award (first named in 2005, then 2007 and again in 2009).
Ms. King is currently a board member of Saputo Inc. and a past director of Afexa Life Sciences.
Mr. Glendinning is the current President and Chief Executive Officer of Molson Coors Canada. Previously, Mr. Glendinning served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Molson Coors UK. Prior to his CEO role in the UK, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Molson Coors Brewing Company and before that as Chief Financial Officer for Molson Coors UK.
Before joining Molson Coors in 2005, Mr. Glendinning worked with KPMG and then The Hackett Group, both professional services companies where he held various senior audit and consulting roles. He worked with a broad array of multinational clients across the globe.
Mr. Glendinning also served with various organizations within the U.S. Naval Reserve. He attended the College of William and Mary, where he obtained a BBA in Accounting and also earned a law degree from the University of Miami.
Mr. Glendinning is currently a board member of MillerCoors Brewing Company and also sits on the University of Denver Business School Advisory Board.
