THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Police Service Community Response Team and the Criminal Investigations Branch have arrested and charged a Thunder Bay man in connection with two Shoppers Drug Mart robberies.
44 year old Mark Kenneth Bailey was arrested on October 12, 2014 without incident. Bailey according to a media statement from Thunder Bay Police was allegedly in possession of a stolen license plate which was on a vehicle matching the description as the one used to flee a September 8th robbery of the Shoppers Drug Mart at Grandview Mall.
Another robbery of a Shoppers Drug Mart occurred on September 30th at 1186 Memorial Avenue. It is alleged that Bailey was also responsible for that robbery.
Mark Kenneth Bailey has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000 and two counts of Armed Robbery. He remains in custody.
His next court date is October 15, 2014.
The past twenty-four hours have seen Thunder Bay Police kept busy.
There were five break and enters, and 18 assaults recorded on the crime report.
