Bull Moose Battle for Dominance in Kananaskis Country

Moose are common all across Canada

THUNDER BAY – A pair of bull moose greeted Tawny Tersmette as the Albertan was headed to Fortress Mountain in Kananaskis Country. It is the rutting season for moose, deer and elk.

The two bull moose battled for almost twenty minutes before the larger bull moose was able to win the battle.

Hiking in the woods during the fall can bring about encounters with wildlife. The level of aggression that male moose, elk and deer will demonstrate is fairly dangerous.
