THUNDER BAY – CRIME – Thunder Bay Police responded to 326 incidents over the past week. This includes the ‘Quality of Life’ calls, and traffic incidents.
Thunder Bay Police over the past week dealt with sixty-seven alcohol related incidents on the south-side of Thunder Bay and fifty-seven calls on the north-side of Thunder Bay.
There were 15 assaults reported on the north-side of Thunder Bay and 9 on the south-side.
Cooler weather likely assisted Thunder Bay Police as except for a major incident, a homicide on Friday night, the weekend was fairly quiet.
The most serious issue police had on the docket of course was the homicide on Friday night. That ninth homicide of the year has many in the city very concerned with Police stating that the suspect who is in custody and the victim did not know each other.
