Homecoming Weekend at Lakehead University

THUNDER BAY – Sports – The Winnipeg Wesman are in Thunder Bay to challenge the Lakehead Thunderwolves in Men’s Basketball action.

The Winnipeg Wesman got off to a fairly fast start. The Thunderwolves seemed a little tight in the first period.

Second Quarter Action

The Thunderwolves started coming on however and despite giving up a lead to the Wesman, the second quarter was a far tighter game.

At halftime, the score was 41-40 with the Wesman ahead by a single point.

The third period showed the TWolves gaining their composure, getting focused on solid defence and the Wolves were rewarded with a 65-61 lead.

Throught the fourth period, the game was close, at the end, the Thunderwolves got themselves into foul territory and fell 90-86.
