THUNDER BAY – Minister Ted McMeekin, Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing; Minister Michael Gravelle, Ministry of Northern Development & Mines; Minister Bill Mauro, Ministry of Natural Resources were on the proverbial hot seat at the Northern Ontario Municipal Association on Friday.
The Ministers were thanked for the changes in legislation that allowed for changes in the housing and building codes where construction for structures of up to six stories is not permitted. The three Ministers were given a standing ovation for that work.
Minister McMeekin stated that he has been on the road on what he says is the “Bridge building tour”.
“The Mid-Level wood announcement will save up to thirty per cent on housing, and also boost the forest sector,” stated McMeekin.
