THUNDER BAY – POLITICS – Westfort ward candidate Frank Scarcello is looking to win a seat in the October 27 2014 Civic Election in Thunder Bay.
Scarcello is concerned on issues including the Event Centre and Tbaytel.
“My position is if the community clearly demonstrates support for an even center let’s make sure it is in the right location, I dont think the downtown location is the best location, I think Innova Park is a better location that will give the event center the best chance of being succesful thereby minimizing the tax burden on the citizens.
“I think the core business of an event center is attendence, therefore, I think attendence will be greater at Innova Park because of its central location, easy access and convenient parking.
“It is the last 1,000 people to an event that makes that event succesful or not. Make it easy for people to come to the event center”.
On Tbaytel, the candidate is concerned over the City becoming too dependent on Tbaytel for monies.
