THUNDER BAY – Wasaya Airways has issued a statement regarding the company’s current status. “This has been a very difficult decision and we feel a strong sense of compassion for the families affected,” states Tom Morris, President & CEO of Wasaya Airways. “Despite these tough decisions, ultimately our goal is to strengthen the company and ensure continued safe, reliable and effective air transportation services to our guests.”

“Wasaya Airways LP has been continuously making significant changes to improve services to our guests and the communities we serve. In the past few months, the company has undergone many changes to rework its strategy. After examining all options, Wasaya Airways believes downsizing to be the best option to properly position ourselves at this time”.

“The reorganization of the company will allow us to provide better care to our guests in the future. Our focus moving forward includes improving on time performance for the airline, increasing communication with our guests and communities we serve in the North and we assure all travelers that safety remains our primary concern. In no way will the safety of our guests be compromised during this transition period”.
