Thunder Bay Police Seek Taxi Assault Attacker

THUNDER BAY – CRIME – Thunder Bay Police are looking to identify this male responsible for an assault with a weapon on a taxi driver on September 21, 2014.

Thunder Bay Police report, that “Just shortly before 8:00 p.m. on September 21, 2104, the taxi driver picked up a lone male outside the Casino. The male requested to be taken to a Manitou Street address. Once they arrived at this destination, the passenger pulled out a knife and attacked the driver”.

The driver was able to defend himself after being cut by the male. The suspect fled the scene and the driver was able to call for assistance.

The 56 year old male driver was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre for treatment and has since been released.

The suspect is described as being a Native Canadian male in his early 20’s. He is 5’8″ tall and has a slim build. He was wearing jeans, a black hoodie and a blue baseball cap with a black peak.
