PIKANGIKUM – CRIME – The Ontario Provincial Police have charged two teenagers following the death of another teenager in Pikangikum First Nation in Northwestern Ontario.

Police say Officers responding to reports of an injured male lying on a trail early on September 15th 2014, found a person who was non-responsive.

Eighteen year old Jethro Keeper, a resident of Pikangikum was transported to a nursing station where he died.

Two teenagers from the community northwest of Thunder Bay were arrested on Saturday.

One 17-year-old male is charged with second-degree murder while a second 17-year-old male is charged with assault with a weapon.

Neither youth can be identified
