Young Entrepreneurs Sought for Starter Company
THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay & District Entrepreneur Centre (EC), part of the Thunder Bay Economic Development Commission (CEDC), have announced its new Starter Company program.
Starter Company is focused on young entrepreneurs who are working to start or expand a business. The program will provide participants with a number of valuable supports, including mentorships by established local business leaders and training sessions on running a successful business.
The program was launched this morning at the Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund offices at Centennial Square in the Fort William Business District.
The program offers loans, mentorship and helpful advice and information to encourage young entrepreneurs ages 18-29 who are starting new businesses. There is a grant of $5000 available, as well as the help to ensure success.
The Thunder Bay & District Entrepreneur Centre is funded through a partnership between the Province of Ontario and the City of Thunder Bay. We exist to offer free and confidential small business counselling services to both new and existing small businesses.
