THUNDER BAY – BUSINESS – North Superior Workforce Planning Board, along with its community partners of Thunder Bay Ventures, the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce and Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission, are teaming up to launch an Employer survey designed to collect vital information on Human Resource issues, such as labour turnover, hard-to-fill positions, recruitment difficulties, current and future skill shortages, as well as any issues in training and education practices.
This survey is called EmployerOne. It will provide employers with a voice to communicate their current and future occupational needs to government, policy makers, and those responsible for the education and training of potential employees. Ultimately, the survey results are expected to provide Thunder Bay and the region with insight into labour market needs.
The EmployerOne Survey will be conducted throughout all of Northern Ontario. The top 10 industries with the most employers will be the recipients of this survey in each of the districts located within Northern Ontario.
For the Thunder Bay District we have identified employers operating within the Census Metropolitan Area of Thunder Bay. Your organization falls in one of the top 10 industries, ranked by number of employers, and has been selected to participate in the EmployerOne Survey.
Please know that the survey has been designed to protect your identity. All answers given will be treated in strict confidence and they will be used for statistical purposes and published in aggregate form only.
Upon completing the EmployerOne Survey before October 10th, your organization will be entered into a draw for a chance to win an iPad mini. The draw will take place in January 2015.
The EmployerOne Survey is comprehensive and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 60 minutes to complete. We value your insight and would really like to hear from you. We hope that you can put aside some time to fill in the Survey.
