THUNDER BAY – ENTERTAINMENT – With the cooler weather rolling in, Thunder Bay is about to heat up with and amazing evening of music and dance. Anjelica was invited to Thunder Bay by Dahab from the World Dance Centre in an effort to increase the variety of dance performances on offer in our community. “Dance is a vibrant artistic practice with a rich history and it’s not always easy to experience it in a smaller city such as Thunder Bay, so at the World Dance Centre, we try to make this experience accessible” says Dahab. The local community does indeed pride itself on its arts scene, with a strong following in music, film, theatre, visual arts, etc. and now we are seeing a flourishing dance scene that is contributing to the cultural makeup of our city.
Saturday’s performance will be augmented will additional dances by local performers covering dances as diverse as Russian Romani, Bachata, Bollywood, and Bellydance.
