THUNDER BAY – BUSINESS – The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the lineup of speakers for its Business Forum, September 24th, 11am – 7pm at the Valhalla Inn.
This year’s focus goes beyond resource based business, with presenters speaking on growth opportunities in new sectors such as health sciences and address labour issues for local and regional business.
Andrea Holmes of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce will be the luncheon keynote who will address “Ontario’s Labour Market Challenges & Solutions: An Employer Perspective” along with the local viewpoint from Madge Richardson of the North Superior Workforce Planning Board.
With five new mines opening in our area in the next three years, we are pleased to present “New Gold Mines – New Opportunities” a Supply Chain Panel on Procurement with Brian King of Rubicon Minerals Corp. and Sarah Thompson of New Gold Inc.
The final presentation by Carla Wiersema of the Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute will provide the audience with an overview of the upcoming isotope production operations facility in Thunder Bay, the benefits and business opportunities for local business.
