COCHRANE, ON – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Cochrane Detachment and the James Bay Detachment Crime Unit, continue to investigate a sexual assault in Cochrane, Ontario.
On Sunday, August 10, 2014, shortly before 7 p.m., a female employee at a Huron Road confectionery store reported being sexually assaulted after an unidentified male entered the store.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries during incident and called police after the suspect fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his early thirties, approximately five feet nine inches tall, medium build, with an auburn mustache, and balding hair.
He was observed wearing a grey T-shirt, cargo shorts and black dress shoes.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the male suspect and is asking anyone with information about this crime to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or if you wish to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
