THUNDER BAY – The good people at Elevate NWO hosted a barbecue on Thursday for the people at Shelter House.
John Michael Quibell commented, “Wow! What a great day today at Shelter House. Many thanks to Dave and his awesome crew from Elevate NWO who came for lunch with BBQ in tow and cooked up 300 delicious burgers and supplied the buns, condiments, potato chips, soda-pop, water and desserts. It was such a treat for everyone involved and certainly appreciated. Kudos to Dave and his team. You rock! It was a real pleasure to work and serve with you today”.
As the truck was being unloaded, by the residents from the Shelter, there was a lot of smiles, especially for some of the simple enjoyments, a bag of chips, and a cold can of pop.Shelter House is seeing increased demands on the facility for food, beds, and even as an unofficial community health clinic. The facility is getting stretched to its limits and are looking for donations and volunteers.
