Community in State of Crisis
FERGUSON – Violence erupted in Ferguson, Missouri for a fourth straight night on Wednesday. Tensions have been climbing the the community. Police trying to disperse crowds were firing smoke bombs and tear gas at demonstrators.
Some of the protesters were throwing Molotov cocktails at police.
The racial unrest is continuing in the suburb of St. Louis. The violence and rioting were sparked by a weekend police shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager.
The tension in Ferguson is tighter than a drum. The Chief of Police describes the community as a “Powder Keg”.
