THUNDER BAY – A Russian Crime Ring have stolen over a billion usernames and passwords.

Joe Q and the team from Sencia Canada advise, “With news that hackers have stolen more than a billion usernames & passwords, now is a good time to update your password”.A strong passwords should:

  • Should be at least eight characters long
  • Does not contain a complete dictionary word
  • Does not contain your user name, real name, or company name
  • Is significantly different from your previous passwords
  • Contains a mixture of uppercase, lowercase, numbers & symbols
