THUNDER BAY – A worker, injured at Resolute in Thunder Bay remains in critical condition after a workplace injury first reported on NetNewsLedger on Friday.
The worker, whose name has not been released was pinned by machinery on Friday. He was taken from the workplace to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre by EMS. There were two firefighters who accompanied the worker in the ambulance on the trip to the hospital.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour is currently investigating the incident. The scene has been secured for that investigation.
A spokesman for Resolute says their primary focus is the health of their worker.
Resolute was recently fined by the Ontario Ministry of Labour over an incident in Fort Frances.
