Super Heavy but Fun – Ben Thompson
THUNDER BAY – Luke Skaarup and Ben Thompson wasted no time in setting a new record at Thunder Bay’s Strongest Man in Thunder Bay today. The competition will be going on into the evening. Luke and Ben set new records, at 230 pounds for the one arm lift. The two strongmen decided to really go for it putting an incredible 250 pounds on the weight for a massive new record, but had to settle for beating the record by only 20 pounds.
There are huge crowds out at the Paulucci’s Bar and Grill at the Wayland in Westfort.
The sport of Strongman in Thunder Bay has a huge following with both growing numbers of athletes and ever larger crowds of spectators.
