Police Seek Help in Credit Union Break and Enter

THUNDER BAY – CRIME NEWS – Thunder Bay Police are currently investigating a break & enter and theft to the Copperfin Credit Union located on Arundel Street.

Police were called to the business just before 7:00AM this morning when a customer noticed broken glass when he entered the front doors to use the ATM.

Police have been provided with video images of a male who broke the glass in the vestibule at approximately 4:10 a.m. and then he enter the premises and left the building a short time later. He returned at approximately 5:00 a.m. after he changed his clothing. The male did take money during this theft.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male approximately 5’9″ tall with an average build. During the initial break in he was wearing grey baggy pants, a blue hoodie with red cloth covering his face and grey mitts. In the second incident he was wearing red and black checkered pants, a grey hoodie with NIKE written on the front. He had a black back pack and was wearing red “CANADA” mitts.

Police are looking for the public to assist in identifying the male in the surveillance video that is being released. Please note that it is a compressed motion time video.
