Thunder Bay Police Seek Robbery Suspect in Hotel Attack

Crime NewsTHUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police report that an Arthur Street hotel staff member was injured early this morning after a robbery suspect, who was carrying a knife allegedly then sprayed the staff person with a chemical agent.

Police report that this was a part of a suspected robbery. The lone male, describe as being about six feet tall, was wearing a black sweater, gray jogging sweats, a baseball cap, and white shoes. The incident, that happened at 1:20AM EDT on Sunday morning resulted in the suspect fleeing on foot, getting away with some cash.

This is the second similar robbery where a hotel clerk has been attacked and allegedly sprayed with a chemical agent. The earlier attack this year resulted in an arrest.
