Fog Slows Traffic East of Thunder Bay

James WhalenTHUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Travelers heading east from Thunder Bay this morning can expect slow going. There is a fog advisory along the north shore of Lake Superior. The alert issued by Environment Canada is in effect from Nipigon to Schreiber.

Fog Advisory in effect for:

  • Marathon – Schreiber
  • Nipigon – Rossport

Fog conditions – overnight to afternoon.

Near zero visiblity in fog is expected or occurring.

Near zero visiblity in fog over the northern shores of Lake Superior this morning into this afternoon. Motorists should be prepared for hazardous driving conditions due to nil visibility and allow extra time to reach their destination. Fog will lift this afternoon as drier air comes in from the norrth.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. If travelling, be prepared for areas of near zero visibility.

Weather Advisories for fog are issued when near zero visibilities in fog are expected or occurring.
