Youth TBay is located at 711 Victoria Avenue East in the Chapple Building. The Youth Centre started as a public private partnership with the City of Thunder Bay involved.

Recently City Administration in the Recreation and Culture Division has expressed that they would like to pull out the equipment the city put into the project. That would remove the fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, computers, and in a very itemized list, Administration is also asking for the knives and forks to be returned.

City Council deferred on Administration’s request until July. The decision that in effect would virtually kill the hard work and efforts of Youth TBay is coming up soon.

Youth have been volunteering their time in bottle drives, car washes, and other efforts to keep the youth centre going.

On Monday, the youth will be outside Canadian Tire and you can stop by and offer your support.
