Annual Fort William First Nation Pow Wow

FORT WILLIAM FIRST NATION – This weekend Fort William First Nation is hosting its annual Pow Wow. The theme this year is honouring youth leadership.

Hundreds of people attended on Saturday, NNL was on hand Livestreaming the event.

The annual Pow Wow is a little different this year. There is work started at the Pow Wow grounds to make it more comfortable for dancers and spectators.

The Pow Wow is under the spiritual leadership of Elder Calvin Ottertail.

There is, of course, dancing, culture, great food including a feast. There is also a coming together of all the people for healings, and spiritual guidance.

The Pow Wow starts with the Grand Entry, which gets together today at 1PM.
